Welcome to Montgomery Middle School’s website.  As the principal of this school and a proud Mayan, our students have many great curricular and extra-curricular opportunities to succeed at our school. 

Montgomery Middle School, the home of the Mayans, is a community school where students are expected to achieve.  Our school’s faculty and staff are committed to provide our students with a quality education.  We work together to develop our students’ scholarship, citizenship, character, and service education.  As a community we strive to work with our parents and guardians to support us at school and at home with the mutual goal in supporting our students to transition to high school and beyond. 

As you browse through our Mayan website, you will see the many services that we provide our students and the many opportunities that students have to be involved in school and after school.  This helps our students make connections to our school. When students build strong connections at school this helps students get better grades, have higher test scores, stay longer in school, and attend regularly.  Our staff also helps our students be better students by helping them be organized, by providing structure, by helping them with time management, and by having them be productive when working on their assignments.  We do so by providing the support necessary through peer tutors, college tutors, and faculty and staff.

At the middle school level, we encourage our students to always get help by asking questions.  My staff and I are here to meet the needs of our students and support them to succeed in their classes.  Tutoring is offered to our students before school and after school through our Homework Center.  We have an extensive Extended Weekend Activities Program on Saturdays to further support our students.  Our after school program also supports our students academically and through extra-curricular activities before and after school.
